Seawall Breaker

Keep the ball up and knock the seawall down, brick by brick.

The game is loading…

A ball, a paddle and a wall of coloured bricks between you and the open sea. Keep the ball in the air, aim it with the edge of the paddle and clear every breakable brick to bring up the next wall.

How a round works

Each wall starts with the ball resting on the paddle. Tap the field, click or press Space to launch it. The ball bounces off the sides and the top; if it drops past the paddle you lose that ball, and when the last one is gone the game is over. Easy gives you five balls, Normal and Hard three.

A wall is cleared when every breakable brick is gone. Light bricks break at the first touch, darker ones take two or three hits, and the grey metal blocks never break — they are there to bend your shots. Metal appears from the third wall on, always in mirrored pairs, and the generator leaves every breakable brick open from below, so no wall is impossible.

Some bricks carry a capsule. When the brick breaks, the capsule drifts down; catch it with the paddle for a wider paddle, three balls at once, a slower ball or an extra ball in reserve.

Steering the ball

The paddle decides the angle. Meet the ball with the centre and it goes back up almost straight; meet it near an edge and it leaves at a steep sideways angle. That one rule is the whole craft of the game: you are not only catching the ball, you are choosing where it goes next.

On a touch screen drag anywhere on the field. The paddle follows the movement of your finger rather than its position, so your thumb never hides the ball. With a mouse the paddle follows the pointer; on a keyboard use ← → or A and D. P or Esc pauses, and the game also pauses by itself when you switch tabs or scroll it out of view.

Tips from the pier

  • Open a channel. Work the ball up one side until it breaks through above the wall. Trapped up there, it bounces between the top and the bricks and clears rows for you.
  • Deal with tough bricks early, while the ball is still slow. Every bounce adds a little speed, and a three-hit brick low in the wall gets awkward late on.
  • Use the edges on purpose. A shot off the corner of the paddle is the only way into bricks tucked beside the metal.
  • Let some capsules go. A capsule is worth less than the ball. If catching it means leaving the ball, let it fall.
  • Chain your hits. Breaking several bricks before the ball comes back to the paddle builds a chain bonus; the longest chain is shown when the game ends.

Difficulty, records and saves

There is one mode with a fresh wall every stage and three difficulties. Easy has a wider paddle and a slower ball; Hard narrows the paddle and quickens the ball. Your best score, average and top ten runs are kept per difficulty in this browser, and an unfinished game is saved, so you can close the tab and carry on later.

Want a wall again? The numbered walls each start from a fixed layout, so you can practise one until you clear it without losing a ball.

FAQ

Is Seawall Breaker free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no payment and no advertising. The game runs in your browser and keeps its records only on your device.

Can every wall be cleared?

Yes. Walls come from a seeded generator that checks every breakable brick has an open way in from below. Metal can make a brick harder to reach, never unreachable.

Why does the ball keep getting faster?

Each bounce adds a little speed up to a limit, and every new stage starts slightly quicker than the last. The slow-ball capsule calms it down for a while.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Hold the phone upright, drag to move the paddle and tap to launch. The field scales to fit the screen.
